Heroine Full Face Motorcycle Helmets

The Heroine full face motorcycle helmets are Hedon's flagship full face range, built for riders who want the protection of a full face without the styling of a sportsbike lid. Two variants share the name: the Heroine Racer 2.0 for speed, touring, and longer rides, and the Heroine Classic for a closer, vintage-drawn profile. Both are handcrafted, both carry ECE 22.06 or DOT certification, and both share the same classic British retro design that's defined the range since Hedon started making helmets.

Heroine Racer 2.0 and Heroine Classic

The two shells suit different riding:

  • Heroine Racer 2.0: the flagship full face. A wider eyeport, a visor built for speed, and the quietest low profile shell we make.
  • Heroine Classic: a closer, rounder profile drawn from sixties racing helmets.

Both take the Heroine Racer Visor 2.0 range, both come in the same size, run across three shell sizes, and both are available in Hedon's current finishes.

How the Heroine Is Built

The composite fiber shell is a lay-up of fiberglass and carbon fiber, finished and lacquered by hand. Inside it, the parts you feel every ride are the ones we spend the most time on.

  • Composite fiber shell: fiberglass and carbon fiber layered for a lightweight build with world-class impact protection.
  • Hed-Armour lining: full grain leather trim with anti-bacterial fabric, hand-stitched into the lining. Seasons and softens with use.
  • 3 channel ventilation system: chin and forehead intakes with rear exhaust vents, tuned for steady airflow at speed without excess wind noise.
  • 4-position visor mechanism: clear visor with anti-fog and anti-scratch coating, adjustable across four positions to suit weather and light conditions.
  • Metal hardware: brass buckle and CNC screws rather than molded plastic. The parts you touch every ride feel like parts.
  • Automotive-grade paint: sprayed and lacquered in layers with a gloss finish that holds its depth over years of riding.
  • Speaker pockets: recessed cavities for Bluetooth comms, so you can add a Sena Bluetooth headset without modifying the shell.

Manufacturing runs to ISO 9001. Every Heroine is handcrafted in Hedon's workshop and certified to ECE 22.06 or DOT, so one helmet covers you for road use in the UK, Europe, and the United States on the same purchase.

Getting the Fit Right

A full face helmet has to be right first time, because there's more shell in contact with your head than on an open face. Measure around your head about a centimeter above your eyebrows with a cloth tape, then check the Helmet Size Chart before ordering.

The helmet should hold your cheeks firmly and move your scalp slightly when you turn it with both hands. If it rocks independently of your head, it's too big. Leather gives a little as it beds in, so err toward the firmer of two sizes rather than the looser.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Heroine Racer 2.0 and the Heroine Classic?

The Heroine Racer 2.0 has a wider eyeport and a shell tuned for speed, which makes it quieter at highway speeds and better suited to touring and longer rides. The Heroine Classic has a rounder, closer profile drawn from sixties racing helmets, for riders who want a vintage silhouette on a classic bike. Both are full face motorcycle helmets, both share the same size run across three shell sizes, and both carry ECE 22.06 or DOT certification.

Is the Heroine a women's motorcycle helmet?

No. Heroine is the name of our full face range, not a gender. The shells come in one size run and are worn by riders of every build. Safety-certified motorcycle helmets are technically unisex in their sizing and structure, so fit comes down to head shape and measurement, not gender. Start with the Helmet Size Chart for guidance.

Is the Heroine road legal in the United States?

Yes. Every Heroine full face motorcycle helmet carries DOT certification for road use in the United States or ECE 22.06 for the UK and Europe, so a single helmet covers you on both sides of the Atlantic. The DOT label sits on the back of the shell.

Which visor fits the Heroine Racer 2.0?

The Heroine Racer Visor 2.0, available in the peaks and visors collection and sold separately. Visors aren't interchangeable between generations, so a 2.0 visor won't fit a first generation Heroine Racer shell. Check which version you own before ordering.
